Carrie Kowalski and Patrick Arens announce their engagement and plans for an April 23, 2005, wedding at St. Mary's Church in Remsen with a reception and dance following at the Avalon Ballroom.

Carrie is the daughter of Jerry and Donna Kowalski of Alpena, Mich., and is employed by Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove as the director of health information. Pat is the son of Lou and Peg Arens of Remsen and is employed by the Social Security Office in Sioux City.
