Paul and Val Grant of Le Mars and Gary and Rosie Grage of Remsen announce the engagement of their children, Kara Claire Grant and Lewis Lee Grage.

The couple is planning a 4 p.m. ceremony on May 14, 2005, at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Le Mars. A reception and dance will follow at the Le Mars Convention Center lower level.

Kara is a 1997 graduate of Le Mars Community High School. She graduated from Wayne State College with a bachelor of science degree major in art and minor in family and consumer science. She is employed part-time at the Movie Gallery and parttime as a carpenter's assistant.

Lewis graduated from Remsen St. Mary's High School in 1996 and earned an associate degree in carpentry from Iowa Lakes Community College. He is a self-employed contractor and a farmer.
