Travis Allen Nigg, 22, of Le Mars, died suddenly Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at his home in Le Mars.
Travis Allen Nigg was born Sept. 23, 1982, in Thousand Oaks, Calif., the son of Danna Nigg. Travis moved with his grandparents, Craig and Ruth Nigg to Le Mars in 1993. He was confirmed at First United Methodist Church in Le Mars in 1995. He graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 2000. He currently was attending Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City pursuing a business and accounting degree with plans to become a certified public accountant. He had worked for Family Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician.
Travis loved his friends. He enjoyed hunting, cars, music, playing pool, snowmobiling and was gifted mechanically.
Survivors include his grandparents, Craig and Ruth Nigg of Le Mars; his mother, Danna Dreiling of Ventura, Calif.; an aunt, Kerry Nigg of Le Mars; an uncle, Garet Nigg and his wife, Ann of Le Mars; his good friend, Kim Newberry of Le Mars; extended family in California and Oregon; and many friends in Le Mars.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church of Le Mars with the Rev. Mike Janes officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Merrill. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Friday at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars. The family will be present to greet friends after 6 p.m. and there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Ty Roepke, Brendan Berkenpas, Garet Nigg, Dave Caldwell, Steve Schwartz, and Kyle Niehus.
