The engagement and approaching marriage of Susan Scheitler and Pete Tarantino is announced by their parents, Robert and Rebecca Scheitler of Le Mars, Ann and Charles Sitzmann of Rogers, Ark., and Anthony and Marge Tarantino of Overland Park, Kan.

An April 2, 2005, wedding is planned in Kansas City, Mo.

Susan received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa with a

double major in elementary education and psychology. She received her master's degree at Central Missouri State University and is currently an elementary school counselor in Liberty, Mo.

Pete received his undergraduate degree in marketing from Southwest Missouri State University. He is currently a loan officer at The Mortgage Store in Kansas City, Mo.
