Muriel Winquist, 96, of South Sioux City, Neb., and formerly of Akron, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at Matney Colonial Manor in South Sioux City, Neb.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Monday) at the First Baptist Church in Akron with Pastor Damon Green and Chaplain Glen Houts officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation was after 1 p.m. Sunday, at the Carlsen Funeral Home, Schroeder Chapel in Akron, with the family present to greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. p.m. Visitation continued at the church Monday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.
