Amy Delperdang and Charlie Bartel were united in marriage in a 2 p.m. ceremony Sept. 18, 2004, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Milford. The Rev. James Bruch officiated the double ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Jim and Julie Delperdang of Okoboji and Dale and Linda Bartel of Cherokee. The bride is granddaughter of Verda Delperdang of Merrilland LaVonne and Gerry Kontz of Green Valley, Ariz. The bridegroom is the grandson of Ruth Bartel of Cherokee.

Nuptial music was provided by organist Wynette Moore and soloist John Moore.

Maid of honor was Laura Delperdang. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Carpenter, Abbey Boeding, Alaina Murley and Katie Ramsay.

Marc Bartel of Overland Park, Kan., was best man. Groomsmen were Jared Bartel, Nick Herbold, Ben Shuberg and Chad Kuehl.

Seating the wedding guests were Brett Mytys, Brian Kurtz, Dan Rodriguez, John Greenwood and Brandon Anderson.

A dinner reception followed the ceremony at The Inn of Okoboji.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Iowa where she earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering. She is employed at Alliant Energy in Cedar Rapids.

The bridegroom earned his bachelor of science degree in computer and electrical engineering from the University of Iowa. He is currently a student at the University of Iowa, pursuing a master of science degree in computer engineering.

Following a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is at home in North Liberty.
