The engagement and approaching marriage of Katie Ann Majeres and Travis William Klohs of Le Mars is announced by their parents, Richard and Judy Majeres of Le Mars and Dave and Becky Klohs, also of Le Mars.

The couple is planning to be married in a 2 p.m. ceremony on May 14, 2005, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars. The reception and dance will follow the ceremony at the Le Mars Convention Center.

Katie is a 1998 graduate of Gehlen Catholic High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Iowa where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in geography and environmental studies. She is employed with Gap Inc., in West Des Moines.

Travis is a 1998 graduate of Le Mars Community High School. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 2003 with a double major in finance and management. He is employed with U.S. Bank in Des Moines as a commercial real estate portfolio manager.
