Jerome Hellman, 70, of Spokane, Wash., and a Le Mars native, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, in Spokane.
Jerome Hellman was born June 11, 1935, in Le Mars, the son of Bernard and Caroline (Kosse) Hellman. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School until 1949. On Sept. 25, 1953, he married Lavonne Schaffer in Sioux City. They lived in Sioux City until the late 1970s when they moved to Spokane, where Jerome continued to drive his truck until 2000.
Survivors include his wife, Lavonne, a daughter, Lynn and her husband, Tom Thompson, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, Madonna Hellman and Vera Gaul and her husband, Don, all of Le Mars; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandchild and a nephew, Pat Gaul.
Funeral services will be held in Spokane.
