CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Donald J. Traurig, 53, of Cape Coral, Fla., and a former Le Mars resident, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004.

Donald moved to Cape Coral nine years ago from Le Mars. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was self-employed as a swimming pool subcontractor, working for such companies as Grant Pools, Pebble Tech., along with Siesta Pools.

Survivors include his father, Adolph Traurig of Sioux City; his mother, Margaret of Dubuque; a sister, Patricia Markevicius of Chicago, Ill.; brothers, Buddy of Cape Coral,Fla., James Michael of Grinnell, Kevin of Cape Coral, Fla., Robert of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Tom of Lake Orion, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no formal services at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Fuller Funeral Home-Cremation Service, 1910 De Prado Blvd., in Cape Coral.
