SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Marlys Ann Stellingwerf, 63, of Sioux Falls, S.D., died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, at her residence, following a battle with cancer.

Marlys Ann Stellingwerf was born Dec. 28, 1940, at Melvin, Iowa, the daughter of Dick and Irma (Schlidt) Stellingwerf. She grew up in Melvin where she graduated from Melvin High School in 1959.

Marlys was united in marriage with Walton Stellingwerf on Sept. 18, 1959, in Melvin. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband of 45 years, Walt; a son, Steven Stellingwerf; a daughter, Pam (Paul) Wickham; three grandchildren, Joseph Wickham, Jenna and Tara Stellingwerf; a family friend, Jay Meyer, all of Sioux Falls, S.D.; brother, Dave (Teresa) Stellingwerf, Sioux Falls; sister, Carol Baumgarn, Sanborn; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Eastside Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sioux Falls. Visitation will begin 11 a.m. today (Monday), at the George Boom Funeral Home with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m.
