Brooklyn Marie Janssen, 7-week-old daughter of Scott and Jennifer Janssen of Mansfield, Texas, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004.

Brooklyn was born three months prematurely on July 29, 2004, was baptized into God's family on July 30, 2004, and was called home Sept. 16, 2004. Brooklyn touched the hearts and lives of so many who cared for her and loved her.

Brooklyn is survived by her mom and dad, Jennifer and Scott Janssen, Mansfield, Texas; maternal grandparents, Wally and Marge Schrieber, St. Louis, Mo.; paternal grandparents, Rich and Lynn Janssen, Le Mars; great-grandparents: Mac and Arlene Kratochvil, Alcester, S.D.; Lorenz and Bernice Janssen, Hawarden; aunts and uncles: Amy Schrieber and Ben Schrieber, St. Louis, Mo., Amy (Janssen) and Pat Smith, West Des Moines; and cousins Dakota, Hunter, and Blaze Schrieber and Kyle Blake of St. Louis, Madison, Sam and Charlie Smith, West Des Moines.

A service celebrating Brooklyn's life was held Sunday, Sept. 19, at Grace Lutheran Church in Arlington, Texas.
