Jamie Guntren and John Platt were united in marriage June 18, 2004, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars, with the Rev. Andrew Hoffmann officiating.

Parents of the couple are Roger and Julie Guntren of Le Mars and David and Carol Platt of Paullina. Grandparents of the bride are Barbara Baack of Le Mars and the late William Baack; and the late Edwin and Kathleen Guntren. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Bert and Louette Gnade of Brick, N.J., and the late Mearl and Hazel Platt.

Maid of honor was Jill Guntren with Amy Adamski, Jamie Britton, Traci Paulsen, Laura Redman and Lisa Sitzmann as bridesmaids. Personal attendants of the bride were Laura Meincke and Heather Schaapveld.

Erik Johnson was best man and groomsmen were Aaron Bukta, Zeron Flemister, Cobey Hendren, Joshua Lohmeier, Jason Muller and Nick Paulsen.

Flowergirls were Madison and McKenna Paulsen. Chase Koopmans was ringbearer.

Matt Britton, Jay Brodersen, Shane Gebert, Alec Johnson, Ed Lottridge, Ryan Redman and Chris Yurgae seated the guests.

Following the ceremony the reception, dinner and dance were held at the Le Mars Convention Center.

Both John and Jamie are graduates of the University of Iowa and are currently owners of Independent Dental, Inc, located in Sutherland. They currently reside in Spencer.

The couple is planning a spring 2005 wedding trip to the Virgin Islands.
