He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Maisie (Cardwell) Bergner.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. today (Thursday) at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City.

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. -- Richard A. "Jess" Bergner, 71, of South Sioux City, Neb., and a Remsen area native, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at Matney Colonial Manor in South Sioux City.
