Parents of the couple are Randy and Vickie Pals of Ankeny, formerly of Le Mars and Wayne and Julie Beitelspacher of rural Le Mars. Grandparents include Mary Jo Gifford of Ankeny, Herman and Berniece (Pals) Suntken of Belmond, Ann Jones of Le Mars, and Louise Beitelspacher of Akron.
Kay Koch presided at the organ, and accompanied Arlin Pals, uncle of the bride as the soloist. Arlin also sang the same song for Ashley's parents at their wedding.
Matron of honor was Misty Korthas, Des Moines, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kari Kopperud, Forest City, sister of the bridegroom, and Shannon Kroger, Canton, S.D. The bride's personal attendants were Amanda Keller and Jody Whitver.
Best man was Kyle Dreckman of Brandon, S.D. Groomsmen were Jared Pals, Canton, S.D., brother of the bride, and Judd Kopperud, Forest City, brother-in-law of the bridegroom.
Seating the guests were Matt Korthas, Des Moines, brother-in-law of the bride, Steve Beitelspacher, Des Moines and John Beitelspacher, Iowa City, both cousins of the bridegroom, and Kyle Gifford, Ankeny, cousin of the bride.
Flower girl was Claire Wiarda, cousin of the bridegroom. Ring bearers were Kegan and Zach Gifford, cousins of the bride.
Candlelighters were Kayla Gifford and Molly Renken.
Following the ceremony, the reception, dinner, and dance were held at the Le Mars Convention Center.
Ashley is a 2002 graduate of Le Mars Community Schools and is completing her degree in nuclear medicine at Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls, S.D. She is also the assistant manager at Maurice's in the Empire Mall at Sioux Falls. Luke is a 2001 graduate of LCHS and received his degree as a network administrator from Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls. He is employed with Citibank in Sioux Falls.
Following a wedding trip to Miami with a cruise to Key West and Cozumel, Mexico, the couple is at home in Sioux Falls.
