Ken and Shirley Jacobsen of Le Mars, announce the engagement of their daughter, Robin Jacobsen, to TJ Templeton. He is the son of Terry and Linda Templeton of Kansas City, Mo. TJ and Robin live in the River Market district of Kansas City.

The couple's upcoming wedding will be on Saturday, July 31, 2004 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Craig. A reception will follow at the Le Mars Convention Center upper level with a dance starting at 9 p.m.

TJ is the founder/director of The Project for the Old American Century, an independent on-line news source. POAC is dedicated to providing critical information to the online community through the use of independent International journalists, columnists, and cartoonists. The project is focused on disseminating news from around the globe that is impartial and not covered in mainstream media. TJ is also an accomplished oil painter.

Robin is currently a self-employed consultant for the non-profit/foundation sector. Robin assists start up non-profits/foundations on establishing their strategic direction, board of directors, grant guidelines and startup/continued funding opportunities.

The couples are establishing a non-profit, Citizens WorldWide. The mission of Citizens World Wide is to further social entrepreneurship analytic research, international media, human relations and funded fellows programs. Publicly funded, but politically independent, its main task is to provide the framework for entrepreneur pluralistic discussion and to promote an international society of concerned citizens for global resolutions and peace.
