Angie Marie Swoyer and Christopher Langel, both of Le Mars, were united in marriage May 22, 2004, at the First Baptist Church in Hawarden.

Parents of the couple are Dora and Robert Witzka of Chatsworth; John and Wilmina DeVries of Hawarden, and Gary and Cindy Langel of Le Mars.

Grandparents are Grace Beck and Lester and Lois DeVries of Hawarden; Eilleen (Toots) Langel of Le Mars, and Gene and Betty Thomason of Powder Springs, Ga.

Honorary attendants were Kaitelyn, Ericka and Ethan, children of the bride. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father.

Cathy Bailey served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jolene Al-baidhani and Amber Hedden.

Tim Britt of Le Mars was best man. Groomsmen were Tyler Huls, cousin of the bridegroom, and Nick Langel, brother of the bridegroom.

Ushers were Corey DeRaad and Ryan Renken. Emily Burke, cousin of the bride, and Lisa Carroll were candlelighters. Personal attendants to the bride were Judy Danielson, aunt of the bride, and Cindy Langel, mother of the bridegroom.

The reception as held at the church following the ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of West Sioux Community High School. She is currently employed as a bartender, and will attend school this fall. The bridegroom is graduate of Le Mars Community High School and is employed at Pella in Sioux Center.

The couple is planning a wedding trip to Cordova Rose Lodge in Alaska at a later date.
