ROYAL -- Robert C. Clark, 81, of Royal, died Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at the Spencer hospital as a result of a farm accident.
Robert C. Clark was born Aug. 3, 1922, in Clay County, the son of Rolla and Freda (Zach) Clark. He received his education in Royal and graduated from Royal High School in 1940.
On Feb. 21, 1946, he married Erma M. Garoutte of rural Langdon, in Omaha, Neb. Following their marriage, they farmed in the Royal area for many years. While living there, Bob was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Odd Felllows and the N.R.A. In his spare time, Bob loved to hunt and fish and was an avid gunsmith.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Charles and Charlotte Clark of Le Mars; one grandson, Justin; one brother, George Clark of Peterson; as well as other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Erma, on Nov. 28, 1994.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist church in Royal with the Rev. Roger Maize officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. today (Friday) at the Warner Funeral Home of Spencer.
Pallbearers will be Dave Brugman, David Yungbluth, Dean Brugman, Dave Gunnerson, Harold Yungbluth and Duane Milton.
