Area employers can learn the results of the new Plymouth County laborshed study from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 27 in the Good Neighbors' Meeting Room of Primebank at 37 First Ave. N.W.
Employers will learn about the availability of potential workers in the area, occupational potential of the labor force, willingness of the labor force to change employment, wages and hours employees are willing to work and the distance employees are willing to commute.
The study also asked area residents about their current and desired occupations. Those not currently employed were questioned on their willingness to accept employment.
Paula Nissen and Heidi Belding of the Research Bureau in Iowa Workforce Development will present details of the study.
The Siouxland Employers' Council of Iowa, in partnership with the Le Mars Area Chamber of Commerce and Plymouth County Economic Development, will host the meeting.
Refreshments will be provided at the free event. Auxiliary aids and services are available on request to individuals with disabilities.
