Delmar Fromme, 91, of Remsen, died Sunday, March 14, 2004, at Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen.
Delmar Fromme was born July 25, 1912, at rural Remsen, the son of William and Tjodie (Grothaus) Fromm. Delmar was raised and educated in the Remsen area. He attended both rural school and Remsen Public School, graduating in 1930. After graduating, he began farming with his father. On Nov. 27, 1937, he married Faye Jean Richardson at Kingsley. The couple continued farming on the family farm until 1980 when Delmar retired. In 1989 the couple moved into Remsen. He had been a resident of Happy Siesta Health Care Center since Feb. 23, 2004.
He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remsen.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Jean; one daughter, Joan Quinn and one son, Lynn and his wife, Dianne, all of Remsen; one grandson, Dale Quinn of Santa Maria, Calif., and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lois, in infancy.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remsen with the Rev. Craig Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Remsen City Cemetery.
Friends may call any time after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will resume Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remsen.
Casketbearers will be Carlyn Erichsen, Terry Maass, Dewey Grothaus, Kenneth Grothaus, Gayle Henrich and David Ott.
