Kathy Nuebel and Kurt A. Kovarik were united in marriage Oct. 11, 2003, in a 2 p.m. ceremony at St. Joseph's Church in Le Mars, with the Rev. Andrew Hoffman officiating.

Parents are Lynn and Donna Nuebel of Le Mars and Gene and Rita Kovarik of Protivin. The bride is the granddaughter of Isidore Harpenau and the bridegroom is the grandson of Amelia Infeld.

Nuptial music was provided by Vista Chamber Players of Storm Lake.

Matron of honor was Jennifer Kurth, Le Mars, sister of the bride, with Laurie Quigley and Shelly Sitzmann, both sisters of the bride, and Erin Foran and Jamie Salay, as bridesmaids. Flowergirls were Linden and Lauren Sitzmann and Kaeli Kovarik.

Randy Caddell of Spillville, was best man. Groomsmen were Karl Kovarik, Keith Kovarik and Kris Kovarik, brothers of the bridegroom, and Scott Stanzel.

A wine and cheese reception followed by a dinner was held at the Le Mars Convention Center. Music was provided by Ashanti, a latin jazz band from Pella.

The bride attended Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and her husband attended Luther College in Decorah.

The couple continues to live in Washington, D.C. and both work for Senator Charles Grassley.

Their two-week wedding trip was in Chile over the holidays.
