Melissa and Douglas Parrill
Melissa McKibbin and Douglas Parrill were united in marriage July 5, 2003, at United Methodist Church in Kingsley. The Rev. Paul Evans was the officiant at the 4 p.m. double ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Madonna and Steven McKibbin of Kingsley, and Lonnie and Jan Parrill of Hubbard, Neb. Douglas is also the son of the late Donna M. Parrill. Jeune Vondrak of Kingsley is grandmother of the bride.

Jennifer Schroeder of Kingsley was maid of honor. Nikki Vondrak of Washta, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid. Mandy McKibbin, sister of the bride, was junior bridesmaid and Ranelle Irwin, cousin of the bride, was flowergirl.

The bride's gown was designed by her mother, featured handsewn beadwork by her mother and grandmother, and incorporated trim from her mother's wedding gown.

Lonnie Parrill, father of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Bob Collins, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Randy Groetken. Sean Collins, nephew of the bridegroom, was ringbearer.

Ushers were Joe McKibbin, brother of the bride, and Corey McKibbin, uncle of the bride.

Candle lighters were Briana Peterson and Rachel Leekley.

The dinner reception and dance followed the ceremony at the Kingsley Community Center. Jeune Vondrak, grandmother of the bride, and Jan Parrill, stepmother of the bridegroom, seated guests.

Melissa is a 1999 graduate of Kingsley-Pierson High School. Douglas is a 1989 graduate of South Sioux City High School. Melissa and Douglas are employed at Argosy Casino of Sioux City. The couple is at home in South Sioux City, NE.
