McPHERSON, Kan. -- Lavonne E. "Vonnie" Sanow, 73, of McPherson, Kan., and formerly of Le Mars, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at Infina of McPherson.
LaVonne E. Sanow was born Jan. 24, 1930, at Remsen, the daughter of Otto Carl and Olive Anna (Peters) Sanow. She grduated from Le Mars Central High School in 1948. She married Frank Keith Dunn on May 1, 1949, at Sioux City. He died June 1, 1997.
She has been a resident of McPherson, Kan., since 1995, moving there from Mt. Vernon, N.H. She was an office manager for a photography company.
Vonnie was a member of Countryside Covenant Church in McPherson.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ellen McGuire of Mt. Vernon, N.H., and Michelle Smith of McPherson, Kan.; three sons, John Dunn of Kansas City, Kan., Kelly Dunn and Dan Dunn, both of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Lawrence Sanow and Delbert Sanow of Le Mars; two sisters, Virginia Schultz of Le Mars and Joyce Gotto of Glendora, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Leslie "Bud", Harold and Eddie; and a sister, Marie Sanow.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Glidden-Ediger Chapel in McPherson, Kans., with Pastor James Keil officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery in McPherson. Visitation will be today (Monday) from 3 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Glidden-Ediger Chapel.
