Kara Stoos and Kelly Thompson were united in marriage May 24, 2003, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen. The Rev. Timothy Johnson officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Rich and Sue Stoos of Remsen and Terry and Maureen Thompson of Sergeant Bluff. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Maurice and Cleone Kelly of Thursten, Neb., and Frances Thompson of Omaha.

Stephanie Heidesch was maid of honor with Beth Tentinger and Jodi Ruba, sisters of the bride; and Trisha Scott, sister of the bridegroom, as bridesmaids. Junior bridesmaid was Danika Tentinger, niece of the bride.

Flowergirl was Madison Tentinger, niece of the bride.

Best man was Travis Christiansen. Groomsmen were Dan Licht, Mike Prichard and Shane Scott, brother-in-law of the bridegroom. Junior groomsman was Joshua Stoos, nephew of the bride.

Colby Stoos, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.

Jason and Zachary Stoos, nephews of the bride, and Kyle and Brent Kelly, cousins of the bridegroom, seated the guests.

The wedding reception and dance followed the ceremony at the Le Mars Convention Center.

Kara is employed with State Farm Insurance and is a coach for Matchpoint Volleyball Club. Kelly is employed with the City of Colorado Springs (Pikes Peak Mountain).

The couple is at home in Colorado Springs, Colo.
