Sarah Jene DeRocher and Bruce Benjamin Phillips were united in marriage Sept. 20, 2003, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church-Neptune, of rural Hinton. Officiating the 2 p.m. ceremony was the Rev. Mark Stoll.

Parents of the couple are Karen DeRocher and Ken Nelson, and Pat and Cindi DeRocher, all of Le Mars; Mary Phillips and Ben Phillips, of Minneapolis, Minn.

Providing nuptial music were Tim Pick and Julie Hlas, vocalists, accompanied at the organ by Mary Margaret Wachter.

Attending the bride were her sister, Jen Schaefer of New English, as matron of honor, with Jodi Peterman, cousin, of New Jersey and Kelly Wilson of Kansas City, as bridesmaids. Junior bridesmaid was Lea Neuman, niece of the bridegroom. Grace Schaefer, niece of the bride, was flowergirl.

Scott Johnson of Minneapolis was best man, with Scott Davison and Greg Bieber, both of Minneapolis, as groomsmen. Ringbearers were Travis and Nick Neumann, nephews of the bridegroom.

Matt, Chris and Philip DeRocher, brothers of the bride, seated the guests.

The reception followed the ceremony at the upper level, Le Mars Convention Center.

Sarah is a 1993 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and earned her bachelor of science degree from Iowa State University in 1997. She is promotion manager with Supervalu, Inc. Bruce is a 2000 graduate of William Mitchell College of Law where he earned his juris doctor degree. He is a self-employed attorney.

Following their 10-day wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple is at home in Minneapolis.
