Marian Schelin, 84, of Edina, Minn., and formerly of Le Mars, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003.
Marian was born Nov. 7, 1918, and lived in Alexandria, Minn., until her marriage in June 1990 to Carl Schelin of Le Mars. They made their home in Le mars until Carl's death in 1997. She remained in Le Mars for two years and then moved to Richfield, Minn.
Marian was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars and the Le Mars Lions Club.
Survivors include a son, Jon Ording of Ipswich, Mass.; daughters, Suzanne Wilson and her husband, Ron, of Chandler, Ariz., and Jeri of Provo, Utah; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Reynold Peterson and his wife Velma, of Richfield, MInn. Also surviving are stepchildren, Judy Schindel and her husband, Gary, of Merrill, and Jim Schelin and his wife, Donna, of Adel; seven stepgrandchildren and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Ted Ording and Carl Schelin.
Funeral services were on Friday, Nov. 7, Marian's 85th birthday, at the Washburn-McReavy Chapel in Edina, Minn.
Memorials will be given to the Le Mars Lions for the Sight First Project.
