Theophil P. Miller, 79, a Le Mars native and lifelong area farmer, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.
Theophil Peter Miller was born May 8, 1924, on the family farm south of Le Mars, the son of Mike and Mary (Colling) Miller. He was raised near Le Mars and attended country school and St. Joseph's Parochial School. Theophil farmed the family farm south of Le Mars his entire life with the exception of the last three years which he resided at Plymouth Manor in Le Mars.
Mr. Miller was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where he was baptized and confirmed.
Survivors include several cousins; and special friends, Verl and Eunice Lehner of Le Mars.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1966 and his mother in 1980.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars with the Rev. Andrew Hoffmann presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Friends may call anytime after 4 p.m. Friday at the Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars where there will be a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Ken Kilker, Neil Anthony, Tom Lehner, Dave Lehner, Virgil Schiefen and Bill Koopman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Verl Lehner, John Schnepf, Jack Holton, and Mark Rolling.
