McCormack Distributing was established in 1955 as an exclusive factory distributor for Taylor and Broaster. Located in Le Mars Iowa, McCormack has provided quality Food Service equipment for 50 years and is looking forward to 50 more in it's new location in the Le Mars Industrial Park. McCormack Distributing is the exclusive distributor for Taylor Freezers in Iowa, South Dakota and Eastern Nebraska; as well as the exclusive Broaster distributor for Iowa, Nebraska, North and South Dakota. There is also a showroom and demo office in eastern Iowa.

McCormack Distributing offers a complete line of ice cream and slush drink equipment, factory trained service, full parts inventory, merchandising programs, support materials, financing and leasing capabilities. As foodservice experts, they help food service companies, both regional and national accounts, develop mix programs, choose flavors, develop merchandising techniques and more. Other participating partners are Flavor Burst, Smokaroma and Perfect Fry.

The building layout on this page is for the new building in the Le Mars Industrial Park. John Ribando, owner of McCormack Distributing, is hoping to relocate to the new building by April of 2005. It will be approximately 22,600 square feet, an increase of 9,100 square feet. The current 13,500 square foot building was designed and built in 1985 housing a large warehouse, shop and demo kitchen/showroom. The new facility will provide additional space for marketing and sales functions and provide space for the equipment inventory at a level to meet customer's orders.

The Le Mars office consists of a staff of twenty-eight. Darwin Olson is the Service Manager and Service Representatives are: Bob Hartley, Kent Kellen, Barb Henrich, Jerry Epling, Pat Schuttpelz, Brad Frazee, Mario Montejano, Dustin Wendte, Adam Cooney, Patrick Collins and Jim Grocott. They are ready to take care of customer's service needs throughout the region.

There are five Regional Sales Managers/Consultants working with Sales Manager, Bob Glisar. They are Scott Smith, Joe Smith, Morgan McAreavy. Mike Joines and Ray Knight. There is a Supply Representative, Jim McCannon and Ann Eriksen is in the Parts and Supply Department. McCormack techs and parts personnel attend annual factory sponsored training seminars. All technicians are certified and are required to maintain their certification. Our service performance measurement, as benchmarked by Taylor Company, indicates an 80% average response time of 24 hours or less for all unscheduled service calls.

Administration consists of CPA, Les Veen and General Manager, Pam Arens. Pam attends to accounting, marketing, computer support, order entry and branch office operations. Pam has a staff of five, Lavonne Ott, Tami Woerdehoff, Peggy Kessenich, Melissa Jensen and Kandi Kolpin; and is also directly responsible for parts and supply including all inventories.

Recently, McCormack Distributing acquired a majority position in a Taylor Freezer/Broaster distributor line in Minnesota. McCormack has been blessed by doubling its volume of business since January 1991 with an active customer base of approximately 5000 customers and looks forward to continued growth.
