Megan Vance and Randall Wahl of Ames were united in marriage August 9, 2003, at Le Mars Bible Church. Clergyman Larry Adler officiated the 1 p.m. double ring ceremony.

The bride is a Le Mars native and her husband's former home was at Maquoketa.

Their parents are Tom and Carolyn Vance of Le Mars and Myron and June Wahl of Maquoketa.

Providing nuptial music was Shelly Brown, vocalist.

The bride wore a traditional weddinggown with beaded silk bodice and a silk organza skirt, fashioned and sewed by her mother. She wore a pearl beaded tiara caught to her fingertip veil, also with beaded trim. The bridal bouquet was arranged with cream roses and blue and pink accent flowers with greenery.

Jenny Vance of Mornstown, N.J., was maid of honor with Heidi Venaas of Iowa City, Kim Wahl of Maquoketa and Carrie Vance of Des Moines as bridesmaids. Flower girl was Kiara Chesteen.

Bridal attendants wore black charmuse gowns with light blue chiffon overlay. The gowns were sleeveless with empire waist.

Steve Feltes of Dubuque was best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Grimm of Cedar Falls, Joe Schramm of Dyersville and Aaron Vance of Des Moines. Ringbearer was Preston Chesteen.

Seating the guests were Matt and Brian Wahl of Maquoketa.

The reception followed the ceremony at 2 p.m. at the church.

Megan earned her bachelor of arts degree in journalism at Iowa State University and was recently employed at the Le Mars Daily Sentinel. Randall is attending Iowa State University, pursuing his degree in marketing.

Following their wedding trip to Vermont, the couple is at home in Ames.
