MADELIA, Minn. -- Martha J. Kamradt, age 85, of St. Peter, Minn., and formerly of Madelia, Minn., and Merrill, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003 at St. Peter Community Health Care Center.
Martha was born Feb. 12, 1918, in Merrill, the daughter of Herman C. and Gesina (vonHagel) Kamradt. She was a self-employed cleaning specialist.
She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Butternut, Minn. She enjoyed embroidering, reading and television.
Survivors include two sisters, Emma Larson of Madelia, Minn., and Bertha Nelson of St. Peter, Minn.; many nieces and nephews, including Shirley and Robert Frembgen of Hastings, Minn., Verona and Phil Crowe of Coon Rapids, Minn., Valeria and Harold Schroeder of St. Peter, Minn., Bette and Lumar Johnson of Lafayette, Minn., Pete and Lynda Larson of Maple Lake, Minn., Ellen and David Johnston of Hanska, Minn., Dick and Karen Kamradt of Archer, Herman and Candy Kamradt of Spencer, and Janet and Margaret.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, August and Emil; a sister, Leona, and five nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Butternut, Minn., with the Rev. Charles Christensen officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Johnson Township, rural Merrill, with the Rev. Dr. Klaus Raab officiating at the graveside service.
Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Arrangements are being handled by Mankato Mortuary.
