I've said it before, I'll say it again -- if you want to get a snapshot of where we are as a society, simply turn to our public schools. The public schools are, by default, the last fine line of our society. If children and families are struggling with issues that truly have no bearing on education, eventually they will interfere with education and by default, the schools will need to address the issue, taking time away from classroom instruction...

The municipal elections of 2011 are history, and after canvassing on Tuesday by the Plymouth County Supervisors will become official. While the incumbents ran unopposed in Le Mars, there were races in many of the communities in the county that brought voters to the polls...
