There's a new report out on climate change. Unless early and widespread deployment of carbon capture and storage is implemented, there will be an increase in global annual carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. In fact, the report says that discharges of greenhouse gases must be reduced by at least 50 percent by 2050 compared with 1990 levels to limit warming to 3.6 degrees above the global average in the pre-industrial era and avoid more intense heat waves, floods and storms, a United Nations scientific panel on climate change has said.. ...
