Horizon tests county for two possible wind projects (10/19/10)
Wind measuring towers are slated to go up late this fall in Plymouth County to gauge the viability of two separate wind farm projects. Monday the Plymouth County Board of Adjustment approved conditional use permits for Horizon Wind Energy to erect three meteorological (met) towers. Farmers team together to bring in the crops during a harvest bee for Ralph Feller. Feller recently had major vascular surgery and is still in the recovery stage. A total of 28 men, 11 combines, 10 trucks and six tractors with grain carts brought in the harvest in about 3 1/2 hours. They covered a total of 128 acres and had a five-gallon chili lunch.
