Le Mars pet licenses now available (12/31/08)

An expanded playoff format allowed five Plymouth County teams the opportunity to participate in the 2008 football postseason. It's still too early to tell how the Christmas retail shopping season went for Le Mars retailers, but it appears that many fared better than their counterparts around the nation. An unscientific sampling of local merchants indicate that business was good. This is a stark contrast to national reports of total sales dropping four percent from last year...
