Cyclones basketball camp storms into Le Mars (07/03/07)
Le Mars Community High School is usually home to the Bulldogs, but for about 4 hours on Monday afternoon, Carey Gymnasium was home to the Cyclones. Nearly 70 youngsters, both boys and girls, joined Ron Smith, Iowa State Cyclones Director of Basketball Operations, a handful of assistant coaches, and a couple of Cyclone star players for an afternoon of fun and basketball instruction...
SRTS ridership report shows 700 passenger increase (07/03/07)
In the 2006-2007 fiscal year, Siouxland Regional Transit System (SRTS) reported a 700 passenger increase for Plymouth County. In spite of the significant passenger increase, the mileage for Plymouth County is actually down. "The number of revenue miles was substantially down but Sandi Langel said it's more people taking shorter trips," said Supervisor Don Kass, who also serves on the SRTS board, "and I'm guessing gas prices have a lot to do with it. It's also more group trips."...

The Maurice Area Veterans Memorial will be dedicated at 10 a.m. on July 4 at Village Park. Corey Van Soleten of Maurice, who served in Iraq, will be the guest speaker at the dedication.
