Remsen Derby sign up Friday (05/30/07)
Remsen Demo Derby Association is looking for drivers to get their wheels dirty at the 30th Annual Demolition Derby. The Driver Sign Up Party is set for Friday, June 1 at the Maple Lanes Bowl in Remsen from 7:30 to 9 p.m. There are three classes -- Small, Non Welding, Welding -- and 26 cars will be allowed to sign up for each class...

Rockets roll past Eagles for second straight win (05/30/07)
After starting the season 0-6, the Remsen-Union baseball team appears to be back on track. The Rockets picked up their first win of the season Monday at Whiting, then came back Tuesday to defeat Lawton-Bronson 14-4 in five innings. For the second straight game - and win - the Rockets were lively at the plate, tagging Lawton pitching for 18 hits. Combined with a 20-hit effort in the win over Whiting. R-U has now slugged out 38 hits in its past two games...
