Primebank robbed (08/04/06)
Authorities are searching for a suspect who committed an armed robbery at Primebank in Le Mars Friday afternoon. The suspect is described as being a white male, between 30-40 years of age, 5'10" to 6'1", 200-230 pounds, with a brown color goatee-style beard, wearing a camouflage ball cap, long-sleeved grey shirt, dark blue jeans and dark tennis shoes, wrap-around sunglasses, and carrying a small dark-colored backpack.

City receives DOT grant for airport security lighting (08/04/06)
The city's program for improved security lighting at the Le Mars Airport looks a little brighter thanks to news of a $13,650 Iowa Department of Transportation grant to fund a portion of the project. News of the grant, for 70 percent of the project funding, was shared Tuesday with members of the City Council. Sidewalks in store for 12th Street? (08/04/06)
Walkways along 12th Street SW and part of 6th Avenue were heavily discussed this week during the Le Mars City Council meeting, but the project is still in the brainstorming stage.
