Merrill native makes offer to purchase Kime Science Center Building (03/06/06)
A Merrill native has made an offer to buy the Kime Science Center Building on the former Westmar Campus in Le Mars. Robert Delutri, formerly of Merrill and now of St. Paul, Minn., has made a proposal to purchase the building from the city with $100,000 of his art work. Roadside seeding set for Iowa 60 (03/06/06)
Roadside vegetation on Iowa 60 from Le Mars to Alton is scheduled to begin today (Monday), according to the Iowa Department of Transportation's Sioux City Construction Office. The work will involve seeding and final erosion control measures for the four laning of Iowa 60. Part of this work will include aerial seeding on the outside portions of the roadway. Roxanne Elaine Ahrendt was born April 25, 1954, in Le Mars, the daughter of Carl G. and Kathryn (Marienau) Ahrendt. Roxanne was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church. She began her education in Struble, and from the 6th grade until graduation in Le Mars. She graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1972.
