Curt Allen, a Dean Foods distribution supervisor, dresses as Deana the Cow, to welcome Avery Gaswint, 2 1/2, of Le Mars, to Le Mars Area Chamber of Commerce Halloween trick or treating at the Olson Cultural Event Center Saturday. More than 600 children participated in the Halloween fun.
At the Le Mars Church of Christ's Trunk or Treat event Monday, Levi and Libby Cargin, and their dog Gussy, rode the rapids in to pass out some candy. People parked cars and other vehicles at the church with decorated "trunks" like this one to hand out treats to trick-or-treaters.
