RSM Dance Team hosts Daddy - Daughter Dance

The RSM Dance Team held the First Annual Daddy – Daughter Dance on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at the St. Mary’s Lorne Nilles Memorial Gym from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Girls from preschool through eighth grade were encouraged to attend the event. According to Kristine Mohning, “107 people attended the event (60 girls and 47 dads). The money raised will go into the RSM Dance Team Activity Account to help pay for uniforms, accessories, and the annual trip to the state dance competition. DJ Lenny Brazil provided the music and got everyone moving on the dance floor for the entire hour and a half. Each girl was given a long-stemmed rose at the end of the night. The roses were donated by Le Mars Hy-Vee. The high school dance team and their moms made the corsages and provided all the decorations. Everyone enjoyed sweet treats and lemonade provided by the high school dance team. Every girl had a formal picture taken with their date as soon as they arrived. This first-time event was a huge success!”
