Update on Remsen Farmers Coop Demolition

It’s been a few weeks since the start of the demolition of the old Remsen Farmers Coop office/storage area. Demolition started on Monday, March 26, 2018. Everything has been going smoothly and remains on schedule. According to Jared Ehrp, General Manager of Remsen Farmers Coop, “The demolition process is now complete. The wooden elevator and office complex has been removed as planned and we have moved on to the next phase. The basement has been dug out and they are currently working on laying forms for the concrete walls which we hope to pour later this week. After the walls and floor have been poured, the building can begin construction. The weather has not been an issue and, as of now, work remains on schedule.” Pictured above are more demolition pictures from various days through the very first week of demolition.
