RSM's Student Appreciation Day
By: Hailey Klein, RSM Journalism On February 1, Remsen St. Mary's High School students and faculty enjoyed time together on Student Appreciation Day. They went to Drop Zone and the Southern Hills Mall in Sioux City, and Sweet 16 Lanes in Le Mars. Drop Zone had a bunch of trampolines that the students and even some of the teachers enjoyed jumping on. There were also a lot of other things to do, such as dodgeball, laser tag, slam dunking a basketball, and an obstacle course. Megan Wurth said, "The obstacle course at Drop Zone challenged me, but I enjoyed it because it was still fun to go through it. My favorite part was the ending when I had to jump off a high surface." For lunch, everyone ate at the food court in the mall. When the students were done eating, they had some free time to shop or just walk around. After lunch, the group went to Sweet 16 Lanes in Le Mars. Teachers and students bowled two games. Everyone enjoyed their time while bowling with the disco lights on and singing to the music. The day was a great way for everyone to come together as a school and focus on the great relationships forged at RSM.
