Community Christmas tree goes up in center square
Thursday, December 1, 2016
Wind and snow didn't stop the Remsen city & utility crew from cutting down and placing the beautiful Christmas tree in the center square of downtown Remsen (Washington and Second St. intersection) on Tues morning, Nov. 29. Here the crew fix the trunk of the tree so that it can fit in the hole in the street much better.
The Community Christmas tree in the center square has been an annual event since the Olde Fashioned Christmas celebration was started thirteen years ago. This year's tree was donated by Ken and Bonnie Ahlers. Please make sure to drive safely around the tree!
