Final masses, funeral at St. Joseph Catholic Church building, Le Mars

From the final rosary before mass to tours of the steeple, members of St. Joseph Catholic Church celebrated, remembered and said goodbye to their 127-old parish home. The building is the third oldest in the Sioux City Diocese. An estimated 50,000 Masses were said in the building. A new structure for the parish is being completed nearby. After the last funeral at the church, the family of John Murphy Jr. was led by a bagpiper as they walked from the church to Calvary Cemetery.
