Titus snapped this one after he proposed.

The sparkle that's been in my eyes for the last 10 1/2 months has now spread to my finger.

Fourth finger, left hand.

Yup. I'm getting married!

I had my doubts that I'd ever really truly fall head-over-heels in love.

But my 6'5" fiancé (yes he's more than a foot taller than me) has sparked something wonderful in me and it's burning bright.

He's the one I want to share everything with -- faith, thoughts, home, family, bathroom sink.

After being the independent woman of the house for about four years, that's probably going to be more of a transition than I can even guess.

Maybe that's what engagement is all about. In the next 4 1/2 months (we've set the date at the end of November) Titus and I will be making more decisions together than contestants on a year's worth of Jeopardy.

I've already got three 2-inch books of Bride's Checklists: Invitations? Caterer? Colors? Cake?

It's enough to make any normal completely indecisive girl think seriously about eloping.

But I guess we've made one big decision, and I have a gut feeling it's the right one: each other.
