Kingsley-Pierson's first trip to the state tournament did not end quite the way the Lady Panthers hoped.

It was a disappointing day for me, watching two teams I cheered for since September have their seasons come to a close.

Tripoli continued to roll as they defeated K-P in three sets and will play Springville who upset Coon Rapids-Bayard in five games prior to K-P's match.

And this evening I had to watch my sister's Pella Christian squad fall to a phenomenal IKM-Manning squad in three games.

Despite quarterfinal losses, I'd like to congratulate all the teams that made it to the state tournament...just being in Cedar Rapids to play this week is quite a feat when you consider that only 32 teams from the whole state - in all 4 classes - get that opportunity. So great job ladies. You make my job fun!
