Finally

The Packers played their third game in 12 days tonight...and they finally won!
I don't know where Aaron Rodgers pulled it from, but tonight was a complete turnaround from the disaster called a football game last Saturday night.
Granted, I'm only going by the numbers I saw online while watching the play-by-play on the NFL website (after the Gehlen and LC football scrimmages, of course), since the game was only broadcast on state TV in Wisconsin. But still, 18-22 for 193 yards and a touchdown pass, plus another touchdown run; well that's pretty impressive.
So what's with the 13-year-old girl changes? Good week, crappy week, good week...I suppose I'm asking for too much when I want to see consistency in a quarterback, but honestly, this is the NFL, not high school football. I just hope the kid can pull it together for an entire season.
And speaking of pulling it together, Brian Brohm might need to do just that if he wants to hang on to the No. 2 spot on the squad. Because 0-4 is not so impressive, even if he only played for one series. Four incomplete passes? Thank goodness for the running game! Which I believe will be a saving grace for Green Bay this year, especially if Rodgers cannot maintain some form of consistency.
But a win is a win and I'll take it. One preseason game remains and then the real test arrives...September 9...when the Packers host the Vikings on MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL :) Too bad I'll be working... Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
