Wedding Season: The Only Non-Sports Season I Cover

I apologize for not blogging lately. I'm sure no one missed me but if you did, I apologize. The last few weeks have been have action-packed as I've been back and forth to Storm Lake to help my older brother prepare for his move and I've been to small town Nebraska in preparation for my best friends' wedding.
Which brings me to my next point: When my best friends Skyler and Laura decided to tie the knot, I was pumped for their wedding and happy for them. However, when I was sitting in the front pew - performing my groomsman duties - it dawned on me that I'm growing old. I'm a month shy of my 22nd birthday but I never imagined I'd grow up this fast. Growing up, I wanted to finish school so fast because I figured it was easier when you finished. I was wrong. "Real life" has hit me like a ton of bricks. In age and in healthy, I still feel young but with my oldest brother and two of my friends tying the knot recently, I can honestly say that my childhood is over.
But just because I'm getting older, does that mean I have to act like it? |
