Lakers and Celtics - isn't that the match-up that the NBA has been dreaming about all season? Every since Danny Ainge (Boston's general manager) brought together the "Big Three" in Ray Allen, "KG" (Kevin Garnett) and Paul Pierce, the championship was all but decided. However, the Lakers made some decent trades of their own, notably bring Pau Gasol to the team to replace Andrew Bynum.

However, the NBA was hoping that the finals would overshadow negative publicity that the league has received lately including the Tim Donaghy scandal. I agree that it has temporarily diverted the public's attention but what happens after the series is over? Does the NBA really think that a Lakers-Celtics series is going to bring back the fans that they have lost lately?

I'm not going to go out and make a prediction of who wins this series, mostly because they're already three games in. But what do you think? Who wins and will this save the NBA?
