Life's Little Lessons

I am proud to say I can find my way home in the dark, in the snow, in the rain and even when there's a detour. That's quite an accomplishment.
I've been with the Sentinel almost two full months now and I have to say it's been an experience. A good experience as I have met some awesome people and learned a few things.
Like always look both ways twice before crossing the street, driving the speed limit on city streets is not the preferred method, ask for specific directions even if I think I know the way, ice cream does taste better in the Blue Bunny ice cream parlor and don't be afraid to admit I just moved here.
So with those lessons and the fact that I now have both an Iowa driver's license and license plates, I almost feel like a true Iowan.

Oh, so you're one of them, now, huh? Well, I still think that where you are from shapes you far more than where you are at present or where you may head in the future. Thoughts???
